twelve. that’s the number of hours I worked on Saturday. I’m not one for complaining, but it was a really long day and there are 2 more like it just ahead.
Boston has welcomed us with open arms. The crowds have been amazing, the sushi is never ending, and the subway (or “T” as it’s called) is extremely easy to navigate. Not much negative to say other than it would’ve been nice to have a hotel with a laundry room, but I understand why they picked this place (it’s right around the corner from the theater).
2 weeks till Christmas, 3 weeks until we’re home.
It couldn’t come soon enough.
I’ve read another book since I last posted - “Velvet Elvis” by Rob Bell. As I was reading it, I didn’t think it was that great…but in retrospect I’ve found myself meditating on quite a bit of his writings…I’m on to another book now, “Searching for God Knows What” by Donald Miller. It’s good so far, but I’m only 1/4 into it. We just don’t have as much time to read here, but I’m sure I’ll finish soon.
I’ve been craving creativity if that makes sense. I just realized yesterday that I haven’t done anything of creative value in a month and it’s starting to eat away at me. So today I worked on my church’s website, glanced at some photography here and there, and I believe I’ve found inspiration to begin shooting again. I realized tonight that I’d lost the art of photography and got caught up in the portrait/people snapshot craze. So once I get some decent shots, I’ll hopefully get them up for all to see.
anyway…it’s late. so, i’m off.
