life (re)starts in…
I know it’s completely cliche to say this, but my how time flies.
Almost a year ago I was pondering the possibilities for all of my free time that was about to begin. I had thought about going to school for a few months, reading an endless list of books, learning a new skill, and countless other things. Now that a year has passed I can look back and see what a complete bum I have been. I mean sure, my time wasn’t a complete waste, I did learn some things, but not nearly as much as I could/should have. I guess this is just a perfect example of how unmotivated I can be if I don’t have a specific plan for my time.
Regardless of all of that, my “life” (work) is about to begin again in just a few days. We’re driving down to Myrtle Beach for rehearsals which will last a couple weeks before driving to Nashville where we’ll be stationed for the rest of the year. This is my first year doing the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, so I’m a little nervous and little excited as well. Jen was doing the show while we were dating, so I’m somewhat familiar with it, but watching it and performing it are two seperate things. In any case, I’m sure everything will be fine.
Aside from that, it’ll be good to have some normal income again…we’ve been pretty much just living on the basics for a while, no shopping, no entertainment…only bills and food. So we’ll be able to do “fun” things again and just get back into the swing of it.
So long Ohio…you will be missed.
