I remembered how much it hurt my feelings…I came home after school crying and telling my dad what happened. He pulled me into his lap and said, “Candy, have you ever noticed how God made lots and lots of tall people, but he only made a few little people? That’s because he wanted you to be extra special and he spent more time making you because he loved you so much!” I still remember that when I’m faced with stares and rude comments. I don’t care if it sounds juvenile, its still one of the best statements I’ve heard in my life. I got to pass it along to my little sister Charity when a lady made a comment about her being a dwarf. She took it just like me…smiled and went on her way. :) Dads are wonderful aren’t they? I couldn’t agree more :)
