I’ll make this brief- if you haven’t seen or haven’t planned on seeing “Million Dollar Baby” yet, drop what you’re doing and go see it. It really is that good.

There are a few things that I will really wrap my unwavering endorsment over, but one of those has got to be Road Runner high speed. I have got to hand it to time warner on this one…they did it right. I just ran a bandwidth test and I’m getting 4354kbps…that’s 4.4 MEGABYTES PER SECOND! A full T3 line is only 6mbps, so we’re almost competitive with that. SBC’s DSL which is a competitor to road runner in the area…get’s 800kbps on average that means RR is over 5 times faster…DSL is limited to 1.5mbps, meaning even at it’s max RR beats it by 3x. and when it comes to support…usually time warner is very quick to respond. our modem got hit by lightning a year or so ago, tw was there the next day to replace it. SBC on the other hand, it took them almost a week to get to it. ok, so there is one downfall, RR is $50 a month and DSL is $30…but for powerusers like me, it’s worth the extra money…
Ok, my rant for the moment. Not that I care about the stinking Oscars in any way shape or form…but…I’m a little ticked that Mel Gibson didn’t get props for Passion of the Christ. I mean, he doesn’t have to win, but a nomination would have been nice. It was the 3rd highest box office hit of the year for crying out loud! it was entirely done in a dead language! i mean…seriously! …this is obviously all politics. I guess they could turn their heads the other way when it was Peter Jackson and the storyline was a bit more vague in Return of the King, but not for The Christ.
Their denial of nominating this film is not unlike their denial of the truth behind it.
They are supposed to look at the art…not the politics behind it. They are hypocrites and fools.
Not a lot going on. New page has been postponed a few days (probably another week or so). Here’s a shot I took today in the alley by my house.
