winterstorm 04

30 miles from here, in the outskirts of Cincinnati they had 6 inches+ of snow. A little north of Cincinnati they had 12+ inches. And here in the little town of Winchester, we got ice…lots of ice. It rained most of the night and began to freeze at about 8pm. When I went to bed at 2am the power went out briefly. I woke up at 6am to see fire trucks and other emergency vehicles patrolling the streets, I’m assuming for broken limbs and powerlines…there was no power at that point. I woke up around 10am and got out of bed around 12pm. Word was we wouldn’t be getting power back for up to 48 hours. Luckily they fixed the power around 2-3pm today…but we were the fortunate ones. Those living out in the country are still with out power and may be without it for a while. Hey, at least we’re getting a white Christmas.
