Whoever said that “ignorance is bliss” either a) was ignorant himself or b) didn’t know many ignorant people.
that’s my observation after driving in holiday traffic. people don’t turn on their signals, don’t know the traffic laws, and well…are just plain ignorant at times. Does this make me feel like i’m in bliss??? I think not. It’s quite the opposite…ignorance drives me nuts!!!
so therefore this whole statement is bunk.
i think the statement “ignorance is bliss” is referring to the people who are ignorant- ie. people who don’t know what’s going on in the world live in a hunky dory world from their view point…
having to deal with ignorant people definitely does suck…
