“If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Michelle Malkin has yet another interesting blog, this time it’s about the draft. I had a blog a couple of weeks ago which hinted at this idea, but I guess someone on the left has decided to use it as a scare tactic to get votes. To summarize: There is an email flowing through the grapevine which says that Bush is trying to quietly work up a draft for June 2005 if he is elected and that the bill is going through congress as we speak. They did get one piece right, there is a bill going through about it, but it’s from a Democrat, Charlie Rangel. If anything, this story should be reversed!
So…
For the record: THERE WILL BE NO DRAFT!!!
CNet is running a story saying that the MP3 player market is set to explode. This brings up a thought that I’ve been on for a while regarding Ipod and it’s competition. I personally own a Rio Karma and my wife owns a 15gb Ipod. I personally prefer the Rio Karma by far. The menu navigation is more robust, the player plays practically every format available (other than ITunes), the battery life is better, and the Karma is cheaper! So why is the Ipod so popular? Advertising. You haven’t heard anything about the Karma or others because they primarily make MP3 players unlike Apple who has been in the computer business for years and has money to lose on the MP3 market in order to later develop the sector. if you want advice about what player is best check out MP3.com. You might also look at the Rio Carbon (smaller, bigger HD, better battery than the Ipod Mini.
according to this article by Michelle Malkin, Kerry openly admits that he accepted illegal donations from minors in a law that he cosponsored!
Kerry was in similar hot water a few days ago when he accepted a firearm as a gift that he reportedly cosponsered a bill against. Seems this guy just can’t keep out of trouble.
UPDATE: Seems the law was overturned by a judge in 2003, although many states still have laws against it. In any case it’s a little questionable.
