Here is a great example of positive news from Iraq: Iraqi Women Speak Out

This seems to be somewhat of a paradox. I was browsing the web looking for this exact article (I read earlier today) and came across another site with an opposing view.

How can a community so strong on women’s rights in America be against a war which is bringing women’s rights to another nation? Throughout American histroy there have been sacrifices in our own land to insure the rights of minorities and of women and now that we want to bring that to another country it’s wrong? While the discussion may be that we are not over there to liberate but to dispell terrorism, should we not celebrate that they have recieved such freedom in turn? And for those of you that are thinking of playing the “oil card” or even that we are an occupation force, please. Not even John Kerry would use that rhetoric.

Women, rise up! Celebrate with the Iraqis that now share some of the freedoms that you have! Pray for, and support the troops who are bringing new freedoms! And to thank him for liberating 25 million people…VOTE BUSH!!!
