we got our itenerary for work today, we ship out in a week from tomorrow. I will miss my slow life here, but to be honest I’m beginning to look forward to getting out and doing “stuff”. a bittersweet change it will be.

Welcome to all those who may have stumbled upon my new format. I’m sure by now you’ve ran across plenty of these blog things and while I tried to fight it, I’ve come to grips with my laziness. I plan to eventually change the format to be somewhat of a hybrid between a blog and my old site, but until i can come up with a plan this will have to do. As you can see this is my third post, but since I just opened the page to public viewing I thought that I would give a general rundown of what’s going on. That’s it for now. Check back soon for more from my boring life…haha…

swift kick.

If you’ve been watching the tube at all lately I’m sure you’ve heard about this whole swift boat controversy. I must admit I’m somewhat happy that the media has been stuck on this for a while. Back a few months ago if you remember there were a couple books that came out by Bush insiders that were covered heavily. The media was all over the Iraq deal, trying to figure out if Bush had already decided to attack Iraq despite any connection. Anyway, when I heard about “Unfit for Command” coming out in early August I didn’t figure it would get half the coverage since the media is so biased. While I was wrong is some aspect, in other ways I was right. The media it seems has less interest in getting down to the truth and more interest in creating controversy. For example…there are two stories I’ve heard lately which presents hard evidence that Kerry has lied at least to some degree. The first is that he wrote in his diary that he had not yet been shot at, yet he was later rewarded a purple heart for his actions prior to that diary entry. hmm…suspicious? another is that he was injured by blowing up a rice hill with a grenade, his own grenade.

The point here is that Kerry is hiding something. I don’t know what the truth is and very few people actually do, but I do know that Kerry is twisting and spinning everyway he can to appeal to America. Hopefully America sees through the spin.
